Reno, NV (Sports Network) - Colby Cameron found Taulib Ikharo for an eight-yard touchdown pass with 51 seconds remaining, capping a dramatic fourth quarter comeback as Louisiana Tech beat Nevada 24-20 in Western Athletic Conference play from Mackay Stadium.
Louisiana Tech (7-4,5-1 WAC) trailed 20-3 early in the fourth quarter, but Cameron threw three touchdown passes in the frame to lead the Bulldogs back. Cameron completed 25-of-45 passes for 355 yards and three touchdowns.
Cody Fajardo passes for 212 yards and one touchdown for Nevada (6-4,4-1), and also led the Wolfpack in rushing with 110 yards on 22 carries. Mark Lampford added 109 yards rushing.
Fajardo hit Rishard Matthews on a 20-yard touchdown pass with 45 seconds left in the first quarter, capping a 10-play, 78-yard touchdown drive. That served as the only score of the first half between the teams. Louisiana Tech punted on six of its seven first half possessions.
Nevada extended its lead to 10-0 with 9:27 left in the third quarter, as Jake Hurst hit a 19-yard field goal. Louisiana Tech answered on the next drive, marching 71 yards in 12 plays to set up a 29-yard field goal from Matt Nelson.
On the ensuing possession, Hurst made it 13-3 with a 24-yard field goal, and Stefphon Jefferson made it 20-3 with a four-yard touchdown run with 13:01 remaining.
Cameron capped a 11-play, 84-yard drive with a nine-yard touchdown pass to Quinton Patton to pull the Bulldogs within 10 with just over nine minutes remaining.
Cameron engineered another impressive drive on Louisiana Tech's next possession, marching the Bulldogs 89 yards and finding Myles White for a 14- yard touchdown pass with 5:56 remaining.
Nevada punted on the ensuing possession, pinning Louisiana Tech at its own eight-yard line with 2:29 remaining. Cameron converted a 3rd-and-12 call by finding Hunter Lee for a 23 yard gain, then followed up with two completions of 35 and 25 yards to set up Louisiana Tech at the Nevada 11-yard line. Tow plays later, he found Ikharo for the game-winning score.
Fajardo was sacked twice on the Wolfpack's final possession to end the game.
