(Saturday, November 5th) Final Score: (5) Boise State 48, UNLV 21 Las Vegas, NV (Sports Network) - Kellen Moore threw for five touchdowns to lead No. 5 Boise State to a 48-21 victory over UNLV and become the winningest quarterback in Football Bowl Subdivision history. Moore passed for a pedestrian 219 yards on 18-of-31 attempts, but helped the visitors pull away en route to his 46th win as the Broncos' signal-caller, surpassing Texas' Colt McCoy for the all-time mark. Tyler Shoemaker and Matt Miller each hauled in two of Moore's TD passes, while D.J. Harper added 109 yards and a score on the ground. The Broncos (8-0, 3-0 MWC) scored 34 straight points after the Rebels (2-6, 1-2) hung tough early on. UNLV's Caleb Herring threw for 114 yards, including a 33-yard scoring strike to Michael Johnson to pull even, 14-14, with 4:49 left in the first half. Boise State answered with an 11-play, 80-yard drive that Miller ended with a five-yard TD, his second of the quarter following his 30-yard grab. Shoemaker added a 51-yard TD in the third and caught a tipped pass in the end zone from five yards out early in the fourth to push the margin to 34-14. Harper extended the margin with a 36-yard jaunt to paydirt, and Drew Wright added a 15-yard TD run in the final two minutes. UNLV's Phillip Payne capped the scoring with a 13-yard score on a pass from Sean Reilly. Dionza Bradford answered Moore's first-quarter touchdown pass to Gabe Linehan with a 13-yard run over the goal line.
