Toledo, OH (Sports Network) - Morgan Williams ran for 84 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns to lead a Toledo ground-attack that amassed 269 yards as the Rockets toppled the Miami-Ohio RedHawks, 49-28, in a Mid-American Conference affair at the Glass Bowl.
Adonis Thomas gained 80 yards with a touchdown on the ground as well in the win for Toledo (5-3, 4-0 MAC), which also received 66 yards rushing from David Fluel Quarterback Terrance Owens paced the Rockets by completing 11-of-15 pass attempts for 143 yards and a touchdown, while Austin Dantin used his time under center to add 85 yards and a touchdown pass of his own.
Zac Dysert completed 24-of-37 passes for 333 yards with a pair of touchdowns and a pair of interceptions for Miami-Ohio (2-5, 1-2) in the loss, while Dawan Scott hauled in seven receptions for 140 yards and Nick Harwell caught five passes for 101 yards.
It was all Toledo in the first quarter, as the Rockets rattled off 21 unanswered points, beginning with Fluellen's seven-yard scoring scamper early in the frame.
Williams then found the end zone for the Rockets midway through the quarter on a two-yard scoring run, while Thomas added a three-yard scoring run minutes late
Toledo extended its lead to 28-0 early in the second quarter, as a Dysert fumble was recovered by Robert Bell and returned 55 yards for a touchdown.
The RedHawks finally got on the board midway through the stanza, as Dysert found Justin Semmes for an eight-yard scoring connection.
But the Rockets responded minutes later, taking a 35-7 lead on a one-yard scoring plunge by Williams.

After a quiet third quarter, Toledo struck again early in the final period of play, taking a 42-14 lead on a nine-yard strike from Dantin to Jerome Jones.
A three-yard scoring toss from Dysert to Andy Cruse midway through the quarter pulled the RedHawks to within 42-21, but a 10-yard pass from Owens to Justin Olack pushed the Toledo lead to 49-21 with just over two minutes remaining.
The RedHawks added a 25-yard scoring completion from Willie Culpepper to Austin Boucher with 30 seconds left on the clock to account for the final score of the contest.
