Ann Arbor, MI (Sports Network) - Denard Robinson ran for 198 yards and accounted for three touchdowns, as the Michigan Wolverines claimed a 31-3 win over Eastern Michigan in non-conference play at Michigan Stadium.
Robinson, who was instrumental in last week's fourth-quarter comeback win over Notre Dame, finished with one touchdown on the ground in addition to 95 yards and two TDs passing. Vincent Smith added 118 rushing yards in helping the Wolverines (3-0) improve to 10-0 in the all-time series with EMU.
Javonti Green had 80 of his team's 207 rushing yards for the Eagles (2-1), who were off to a 2-0 start for the first time since 1989.
EMU drew first blood, as Kody Fulkerson split the uprights on a 21-yard field goal on the first play of the second quarter.
Michigan answered with a nine-yard touchdown pass from Robinson to Kevin Koger at the 9:28 mark of the second quarter, capping a seven-play, 97-yard drive.
The Wolverines extended their lead to 14-3 in the final minute before halftime, as Robinson found the end zone on an 11-yard scamper.
Michigan opened the second half with a 13-play, 83-yard drive, punctuated by Fitzgerald Toussaint's one-yard touchdown plunge to make it a 21-3 game.
Robinson put the game away with a 19-yard touchdown pass to Drew Dileo with 1:05 remaining in the third quarter, and Brendan Gibbons tacked on a 21-yard field goal in the fourth quarter for Michigan.
The Wolverines piled up 24 first downs to EMU's 12, and they enjoyed a 471-236 edge in total offense for the game. Michigan's offense was highly efficient, converting 9-of-14 third downs and coming away with touchdowns on four of its five trips to the red zone.
