The Bulldogs used a seven-yard touchdown run by Jenkins to go into the break with a 24-10 lead.
The lone score in the third quarter came from New Mexico State's defense, as Boyblue Aoelua returned an interception 41 yards to bring the Aggies within a touchdown of tying the contest.
Nelson drilled a 21-yard field goal for Louisiana Tech early in the final frame, but Stampler added a 31-yard kick of his own to keep NMSU within a touchdown.
Less than two minutes later, the Bulldogs pushed their lead to 34-20 when Livas broke free for a 62-yard touchdown scamper.
Livas struck again late in the quarter, as the tailback scored on a nine-yard run, pushing Louisiana Tech's advantage to 41-20.
That would be all the scoring Louisiana Tech would need, as the Bulldogs went on to win by a 21-point margin.
