Athens, OH (Sports Network) - Boo Jackson threw for three touchdowns and ran for another, as the Ohio University Bobcats claimed a 38-31 win over the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns in non-conference action at Peden Stadium.

for the Bobcats (6-3), who have won five in a row to become bowl eligible for the fourth time in the last six years. Boo Jackson threw for 240 yards and ran for 74, though he was also intercepted four times. With his three TD passes, Jackson set the program's all-time mark for career touchdown passes (32).

Brad McGuire threw for 384 yards, two touchdowns and one interception for the Ragin' Cajuns (2-6), who have now lost four straight. McGuire was also sacked six times. Ladarius Green finished with six catches for 107 yards and a touchdown in the loss.

Jackson got the Bobcats on the board first with a seven-yard touchdown run midway through the first quarter.

The Ragin' Cajuns tied the score at 7-7 on McGuire's 20-yard touchdown to Aaron Spikes at the 13:52 mark of the second quarter.

Spikes put Louisiana on top with a seven-yard touchdown run with 7:07 to play until halftime.

OU kicker Matt Weller connected on a 34-yard field goal late in the second quarter as the Bobcats headed to the locker room trailing at intermission, 14-10.

Louisiana kicker Brett Baer made it a 17-10 game with a 20-yard field goal at the 8:26 mark of the third quarter.

The Bobcats answered with a nine-play touchdown drive, as Jackson found Jordan Thompson for a three-yard touchdown pass. However, OU botched a two-point attempt and still trailed, 17-16.

OU took the lead on Jackson's 13-yard scoring strike to Terrence McCrae at the 13:40 mark of the fourth quarter. Jackson hit Riley Dunlop for the two-point conversion for a 24-17 lead.

The Bobcats pushed their lead to 31-17 with 9:17 to play, as Jackson connected with Bakari Bussey for a 24-yard touchdown pass.

Louisiana finally stopped the bleeding with 5:21 remaining, when Spikes scored on a one-yard plunge.

But OU answered right back with a quick scoring drive, as Ryan Boykin broke free for a 20-yard touchdown run to put the Bobcats on top, 38-24.

McGuire cut the deficit to 38-31 with 1:36 to play, tossing a three-yard touchdown pass to Ladarius Green. The Ragin' Cajuns recovered the onside kick and then drove down to the OU 15-yard line, but the drive stalled on 4th-and-3 when McGuire was taken down for a sack.

The Ragin' Cajuns lost despite holding a 471-414 edge in total offense.
