NCAA Game Summary - Oklahoma State at Louisiana

Lafayette, LA (Sports Network) - Brandon Weeden threw five touchdown passes, as the 22nd-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys used a big second half to take down the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, 54-28.

Weeden completed 29-of-47 passes for 351 yards and two interceptions for the Cowboys (5-0), who are off to a 5-0 start for the first time since 2008.

Justin Blackmon caught 13 passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns. Kendall Hunter carried the ball 28 times for 126 yards and a score.

Chris Masson connected on 33-of-55 passes for 308 yards, two touchdowns, and a pick for the Cajuns (2-3), who used a blocked extra-point to survive North Texas for a 28-27 victory last weekend.

Blaine Gautier completed 3-of-7 passes for 26 yards. He also carried the ball 10 times for 30 yards and a score. James Butler hauled in four passes for 62 yards and a touchdown.

Dan Bailey's 52-yard field goal and Blackmon's 11-yard touchdown reception put the Cowboys ahead, 10-0, after one quarter of play.

The Cajuns bridged the first and second frames with an impressive 17-play, 80- yard drive. Gautier capped the march with a one-yard rushing touchdown to make it 10-7.

Blackmon's 37-yard TD catch on the ensuing Oklahoma State possession made it a 17-7 contest. Louisiana, though, fought back with 14 consecutive points before the half to take the lead.

Butler caught a 35-yard touchdown pass with 4:35 left to cut the deficit to 17-14. Masson and Aaron Spikes hooked up on a seven-yard score just before the break to give the Cajuns a 21-17 advantage.

Oklahoma State scored three straight touchdowns in the third quarter to take control. Hunter opened the period with a two-yard rushing touchdown for a 24-21 lead.

Following a failed on-side kick, Andrew McGee picked off Masson. That led to Michael Harrison's 24-yard TD catch. On the next Cowboys possession, Hubert Anyiam caught a 22-yard touchdown pass to make it a 38-21 contest.

Darryl Surgent returned the ensuing kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown to cut the deficit to 38-28 with 5:49 remaining. Bailey's 25-yard field goal made it 41-28 after three quarters of play.

In the fourth period, Bailey made a pair of field goals and Wilson Youman caught a TD pass.

OSU has won all six meetings in this series...Oklahoma State is 23-2 all-time against members of the Sun Belt Conference...
