Final Score: Toledo 31, Purdue 20

West Lafayette, IN (Sports Network) - Austin Dantin threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more, as the Toledo Rockets claimed a 31-20 non-conference win at Purdue.

The win caps a perfect 3-0 road trip for Toledo (3-1). Dantin finished with 64 rushing yards in addition to 209 yards on 21-of-31 passing.

Purdue (2-2) was without starting quarterback Robert Marve (bruised knee) for the second straight week. Rob Henry stepped in and threw for 140 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

Dantin got Toledo on the board first with a five-yard touchdown pass to Eric Page five minutes into the opening quarter.

After a Purdue fumble deep in its own territory, the Rockets made it a 14-0 game in the final minute of the first quarter when Dantin hit Danny Noble with a seven-yard touchdown pass.

A 34-yard field goal in the second quarter by Ryan Casano sent the Rockets into the locker room with a 17-0 halftime lead.

Purdue opened the scoring in the second half with a 49-yard field goal by Carson Wiggs.

But two minutes later Toledo answered with another score, as Dantin broke loose for a 58-yard touchdown scamper to put the Rockets ahead, 24-3.

The Boilermakers responded with a surge of their own, beginning with a 36-yard touchdown run by Jared Crank at the 7:43 mark of the third quarter.

Three minutes later, Purdue trimmed the margin to 24-17 on Henry's eight-yard scoring strike to Dan Dierking.

Purdue made it a 24-20 game on Wiggs' 22-yard field goal at the 8:07 mark of the fourth quarter.

But the Rockets responded with the decisive touchdown drive, which was capped by Dantin's touchdown on a one-yard QB sneak with 5:24 to play.

The win is the Rockets' first at Ross-Ade Stadium since 1992. They entered the game ranked last in the nation in total offense (221 ypg) and finished with 378 total yards.
