Tucson, AZ (Sports Network) - Arizona State's Cameron Marshall scored a touchdown to start the second overtime, then Arizona kicker Alex Zendejas saw his extra point blocked to end it, giving ASU a 30-29 victory at Arizona Stadium.
On Arizona's series in double OT, David Douglas ran for a nine-yard score that pulled the Wildcats within a point. However, the point after was batted down at the line of scrimmage to end the contest.
Brock Osweiler threw for 267 yards and a touchdown on 22-of-49 passing for the Sun Devils (6-6, 4-5 Pac-10), who still need to petition the NCAA to become bowl eligible because of two wins against FCS competition.
Kerry Taylor led all receivers with 112 yards on six receptions. Mike Willie added a TD catch and Marshall added 63 yards on 23 carries. Thomas Weber contributed five field goals to the victory.
Nick Foles finished 22-of-36 for 262 yards and three touchdowns for the Wildcats (7-5, 4-5), who dropped four in a row to end the regular season.
Juron Criner posted 95 yards and two scores on six catches, while Keola Antolin gained 83 yards on 25 rushes in defeat.
Weber hit field goals of 52 and 36 yards for the lone scores of the first half.
Arizona took a 14-3 lead after three thanks to a pair of Foles-to-Criner TD passes -- the first a 28-yard strike and the second for 52 yards.
Weber's 38-yarder in the first minute of the fourth got ASU within 14-9, then Osweiler found Willie for three yards to put the Sun Devils up 17-14 following a successful two-point conversion.
Weber split the uprights from 40 yards out with 2:59 left, but Foles connected with Douglas on a five-yard TD with 27 seconds to go. Zendejas had the extra point blocked and it was 20-20 at the end of regulation.
Zendejas and Weber traded field goals in the first overtime.
