(Saturday, September 19th) Final Score: Idaho 34, San Diego State 20 Pullman, Moscow, ID (Sports Network) - Nathan Enderle completed 17-of-30 pass attempts for 232 yards to lead the Idaho Vandals to a 34-20 victory over the San Diego State Aztecs in a non-conference showdown at the Kibbie Dome. DeMaundray Woolridge gained 93 yards on just 11 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns in the Idaho (2-1) win, while Max Komar caught five passes for 78 yards for the Vandals. Vincent Brown caught 13 passes for 143 yards and a touchdown to lead San Diego State (1-2) in the losing effort, while Aztecs signal-caller Ryan Lindley completed 21-of-35 attempts for 200 yards and a score. A 71-yard interception return for a touchdown by JoJo Dickson early in the opening period gave the Vandals a 7-0 lead. Idaho made it 14-0 late in the period following a four-yard run from Deonte' Jackson. San Diego State got on the board early in the second quarter with a 47-yard Lane Yoshida field goal. A 29-yard kick by Trey Farquhar midway through the period extended the Idaho advantage. But the Aztecs found the endzone with under two minutes remaining in the half on an eight-yard toss from Drew Westling to Roberto Wallace to go into the break trailing, 17-10. The Vandals added a 40-yard field goal from Farquhar as time expired in the half to take a 20-10 lead into the break. Yoshida connected on a 46-yard field goal early in the third period to pull SDSU to within seven. A seven-yard run from Woolridge midway through the final period of play gave the Vandals a 27-13 lead, but the Aztecs responded minutes later with a 36- yard toss from Lindley to Brown. But Woolridge put the game out of reach with just over two minutes remaining in the contest with a 53-yard scamper for the final score of the contest. 09/19 22:06:13 ET |
