Denton, TX (Sports Network) - Theo Scott threw a pair of touchdown passes and the game-winning two-point conversion, as the Ohio Bobcats notched a 31-30 win over the North Texas Mean Green at Fouts Field.

Taylor Price led the Ohio (1-1) receiving corps, making seven catches for 68 yards and a touchdown

Cam Montgomery paced the NTU (1-1) offense, carrying the ball 22 times for 88 yards and two scores.

The Mean Green got on the board first, when Jeremy Knott made it a 3-0 game with a 32-yard field goal late in the first quarter.

Montgomery extended the lead to 10-0 early in the second quarter with a four-yard touchdown plunge.

OU answered on its final drive of the first half when Matt Weller drilled a 44-yard field goal to make it a 10-3 contest.

The Bobcats got back on the board early in the third quarter with a 47 yard field goal from Weller.

Midway through the third, North Texas took a 17-6 lead on a 16-yard touchdown pass from Riley Dodge to Jamaal Jackson.

But OU answered minutes later with a 32-yard touchdown strike from Theo Scott to Riley Dunlop to cut the deficit to 17-13.

The Bobcats defense grabbed the lead midway through the fourth quarter when Kenny Jackson intercepted a Dodge pass and returned it 69 yards for the score.

NTU tied the score at 20-20 in the final minute of the fourth quarter with an 18-yard field goal from Knott, eventually sending the game to overtime.

In the first overtime, OU came away with a 35-yard field goal from Weller.

The Mean Green tied the game up on its possession with a 22-yard field goal from Knott.

NTU found the end zone in the second overtime on a seven-yard run from Montgomery.

OU responded with a touchdown pass from Scott to Taylor Price on fourth down. The Bobcats chose to go for the two-point conversion and the win, and were successful as Scott and Price hooked up again for the conversion and the 31-30 victory.

The Bobcats managed to win despite rushing for just 63 yards (1.4 ypc) in four quarters and change.
