NCAA Game Summary - Toledo at Bowling Green

Bowling Green, OH (Sports Network) - Willie Geter rushed for 114 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Bowling Green Falcons to a 38-24 victory over the Toledo Rockets in a Mid-American Conference battle at Perry Stadium.

Tyler Sheehan threw for 137 yards and two scores for BGSU (7-5, 6-2 MAC), while Freddie Barnes hauled in both touchdown passes and finished the game with nine receptions for 69 yards.

DaJuane Collins rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns for Toledo (5-7, 3-5), while Austin Dantin threw for 326 yards, but was intercepted twice in the loss.

The Falcons completely dominated the first 15 minutes of action, scoring 24 straight points, beginning with a one-yard touchdown run by Geter.

The dangerous duo of Sheehan and Barnes hooked up on a four-yard touchdown pass to push the Falcons lead to 14-0.

Bowling Green closed out the first quarter with a one-yard touchdown run by Geter, and a 22-yard field goal by Matthew Norsic.

The Rockets finally got on the scoreboard early in the second stanza when David Pasquale scored on a three-yard run.

Toledo cut its deficit to 10 points thanks to a one-yard scoring run by Collins with less than two minutes remaining in the opening half.

The only points in the third quarter came off the foot of Alex Steigerwald, who booted a 26-yard field goal for Toledo.

The Rockets tied the game at 24 apiece early in the final frame when Collins scored on a four-yard run.

The Falcons regained the lead with just over nine minutes remaining in regulation, as Sheehan and Barnes hooked up once again, this time the duo scored on a 17-yard connection.

Geter put the finishing touches on a solid performance by BGSU, as the running back scored on a one-yard run late in the contest to ice the win for the Falcons.
