Final Score: UL-Lafayette 17, Kansas State 15

Lafayette, LA (Sports Network) - Tyler Albrecht's 48 yard field goal with 32 seconds remaining lifted the UL-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns to a thrilling 17-15 victory over the Kansas State Wildcats in a non-conference matchup at Cajun Field.

Chris Masson led the ULL (2-0) attack, completing 20-of-36 pass attempts for 185 yards and a touchdown. Undrea Sails paced the Ragin' Cajuns ground attack, carrying the ball 20 times for 78 yards and a touchdown.

KSU (1-1) was guided by Daniel Thomas, who carried the ball 27 times for a career-high 136 yards and a score. He also threw a touchdown in the setback.

The Wildcats' defense kicked off the scoring in the first quarter, stuffing the ULL offense in its own endzone to score a safety and take a 2-0 lead.

ULL grabbed a 7-2 lead early in the second quarter on a 13-yard touchdown run by Sails.

The Ragin' Cajuns extended their lead to 14-2 with five seconds left in the first half, as Masson found Luke Aubrey in the endzone for a one-yard score.

After a scoreless third quarter, KSU fired back in the opening seconds of the fourth period, when Thomas threw a three-yard touchdown pass to Jeron Mastrud. The extra-point was no good, cutting the ULL lead to 14-8.

Thomas put the Wildcats ahead 15-14 midway through the fourth quarter on a three-yard touchdown run.

ULL would get the last laugh however, as Albrecht drilled the 48-yard field goal to give his team the 17-15 victory.

Despite the outcome, KSU outgained ULL 377-287 and won the time of possession battle by more than 13 minutes.
