Lubbock, TX (Sports Network) - Baron Batch rumbled for 136 yards and two touchdowns as the Texas Tech Red Raiders pounded the Oklahoma Sooners, 41-13, in a Big 12 battle at Jones AT&T Stadium.
Taylor Potts threw for 388 yards for Texas Tech (7-4, 4-3 Big12) and also tossed two touchdowns in the win. Alex Torres finished the game with 11 receptions for 163 yards and one touchdown.
Landry Jones threw for 262 yards and one touchdown for Oklahoma (6-5, 4-3), while Ryan Broyles hauled in seven catches for 117 yards and one score.
Texas Tech jumped out to an early 3-0 lead thanks to a 33-yard field goal by Matt Williams.
However, the Sooners evened the score late in the first frame with a 47-yard boot by Patrick O'Hara.
O'Hara's 22-yard field goal early in the second stanza pushed Oklahoma ahead 6-3.
The Red Raiders fired back with back-to-back touchdowns however, with the first being a one-yard score by Baron Batch.
A 21-yard scoring strike from Potts to Austin Zouzalik with just under five minutes remaining in the first half pushed Texas Tech's advantage to 17-6.
The Red Raiders added to their lead early in the third quarter when Potts hit Torres with a 24-yard touchdown pass.
A 37-yard field goal by Williams with a little over eight minutes remaining in the quarter extended Texas Tech's lead to 27-6.
Less than two minutes into the final frame the Red Raiders struck again, as Batch rumbled into the end zone on a 21-yard run.
Oklahoma scored its first touchdown of the contest midway through the fourth quarter when Jones connected with Broyles for a 51-yard touchdown pass.
The Red Raiders finished off the Sooners with a four-yard touchdown run by Eric Stephens in the final seconds of regulation.
