NCAA Game Summary - Kansas State at U-C-L-A

Pasadena, CA (Sports Network) - Johnathan Franklin rushed for a career-high 119 yards and one touchdown to lead the UCLA Bruins to a 23-9 victory over the Kansas State Wildcats in a non-conference clash.

Kevin Craft connected on 13-of-24 passes for 186 yards and one touchdown for UCLA (3-0).

Carson Coffman threw for 190 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions in defeat for Kansas State (1-2).

Franklin opened the scoring with a three-yard touchdown run with just over five minutes remaining in the first quarter.

Kansas State cut its deficit to 7-3 with 2:03 remaining in the opening frame on a 26-yard Josh Cherry field goal.

Kai Forbath hit field goals of 39 and 35 yards in the second quarter for UCLA, which led 13-3 at intermission.

The only points of the third quarter came on a seven-yard touchdown run by Kansas State's Daniel Thomas, making the score 13-9 in favor of the Wildcats.

Forbath hit his third field goal of the game in the fourth quarter, this one from 40 yards out, to push the Bruins' advantage to 16-9. They then closed out the scoring with a 51-yard touchdown pass from Craft to Terrence Austin.

UCLA held Kansas State to 67 rushing yards in the tilt, key to the victory.
