Fort Worth, TX (Sports Network) - Marcus Jackson ran for two touchdowns and passed for a third as the TCU Horned Frogs ran away from the San Diego State Aztecs, 41-7, in Mountain West Conference action at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

Jackson finished the contest with 27 carries for a game-high 131 yards for the Frogs (5-1, 2-0 MWC) and also converted 10-of-19 passing for another 115 yards for the home team.

The Aztecs (1-4, 0-1), coming off their only win of the season thus far versus Idaho a week ago, were held to minus-13 yards rushing and a paltry 85 yards of total offense overall. The passing combination of Drew Westling and Ryan Lindley finished up 10-of-25 for 98 yards, with the former being sacked three times. Lindley went down in the second quarter with an apparent shoulder injury.

TCU ran out to a 20-0 lead in the first half, beginning with a pair of field goals by Ross Evans of 20 and 42 yards. Late in the second quarter Ryan Christian made his way into the end zone from 10 yards out for the Frogs and with just 22 seconds remaining before the half Jackson hit Shae Reagan with a three-yard scoring play.

SDSU's lone score of the evening came on a two-yard touchdown run by Mekell Wesley at the 12:11 mark of the third period.

Late in the third Jackson pushed the TCU advantage to 27-7 following his nine- yard TD run. Scoring runs of five and three yards by Joseph Turner and Jackson, respectively, in the fourth put the game out of reach and TCU into the win column yet again with the 34-point triumph.

TCU ran the ball 71 times, producing a hefty 383 yards for a team that entered the week ranked 14th in the nation with an average of 219.4 ypg on the ground. SDSU came into the game ranked 118th in the country with a mere 65.5 ypg rushing.

At 5-1 the Horned Frogs have equaled their best start in the last five seasons and are now an impressive 47-6 at home in Carter Stadium in the last 53 chances.

Under the direction of head coach Gary Patterson, TCU is 46-0 when limiting opponents to 17 points or less and has now claimed victory in 61 straight such games.
