NCAA Game Summary - Air Force at San Diego State

San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - Asher Clark, a freshman tailback, ran for 109 yards and a touchdown to lead the Air Force Falcons to a 35-10 romp over the San Diego State Aztecs in Mountain West Conference action.

Fellow freshman Tim Jefferson ran for 55 yards and a touchdown in his first collegiate start under center for Air Force (4-2, 2-1 MWC).

Corey Boudreaux was outstanding in the loss for San Diego State (1-5, 0-2), as the standout safety made 21 tackles.

The Falcons opened the game with a 78-yard drive, capped by a one-yard touchdown plunge by Jefferson.

San Diego State actually held a 10-7 lead at intermission, as it got a one- yard touchdown run from Drew Westling and a 45-yard field goal from Lane Yoshida.

The Falcons dominated the second half, outscoring the Aztecs 28-0 over the final 30 minutes. In the third quarter, Clark had a nine-yard touchdown run, while Todd Newell plunged into the end zone from one yard out.

In the fourth quarter, Air Force got a touchdown from its defense, as Justin Moore returned an interception 25 yards for a score. The Falcons capped the game's scoring with a 32-yard touchdown pass from Shea Smith to Josh Cousins.

Air Force got a pair of sacks from Jake Paulson, who entered the contest with a nation-leading seven sacks.

The Falcons ran for 401 yards in the clash while limiting the Aztecs to 35 rushing yards.
