Kent, OH (Sports Network) - Donte Harden gained 115 yards on 23 carries to lead the Ohio University Bobcats to a 26-19 victory over the Kent State Golden Flashes in a MAC showdown at Dix Stadium.

Signal-caller Boo Jackson completed 16-of-26 pass attempts for 206 yards to pace the Bobcats (2-5, 1-2 MAC) in the victory.

Julian Edelman ran for 136 yards and two scores to lead Kent State (1-6, 0-3), while Shawn Bayes grabbed five passes for 141 yards and a touchdown in the losing effort. Edelman also threw for 200 yards with a touchdown and two costly interceptions for the Golden Flashes.

Ohio struck first, as Jackson found the end zone following a nine-yard scamper late in the first quarter to give the Bobcats a 7-0 lead.

The Golden Flashes responded just minutes later with an eight-yard touchdown run by Edelman. The extra point missed.

Ohio took a 14-6 lead early in the second quarter with a six-yard run by Chris Garrett.

Kent State answered less than a minute later, as Edelman found Bayes for an 82-yard connection.

A 42-yard field goal from Barrett Way with under a minute remaining in the half gave the Bobcats a 17-13 lead heading into the break.

Way hit from 47 yards out early in the third quarter to extend the Ohio advantage.

Way added field goals of 23 and 37 yards early in the final period of play, extending Ohio's advantage to 26-13.

Kent State trailed 26-19 late in the frame following a nine-yard run by Edelman, accounting for the final score of the contest.
