NCAA Game Summary - Central Michigan at Toledo

Toledo, OH (Sports Network) - Dan LeFevour threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Central Michigan Chippewas to a thrilling, 24-23 victory over the Toledo Rockets in Mid-American Conference action at the Glass Bowl.

Ontario Sneed paced the ground game, rushing for 72 yards and one touchdown for CMU (6-2, 5-0 MAC), while Antonio Brown grabbed 10 passes for 85 yards in the win.

DaJuane Collins rushed for 94 yards and one touchdown for Toledo (2-6, 1-3), while Aaron Opelt threw for 216 yards and one touchdown in the loss.

The Rockets used a 45-yard field goal by Alex Steigerwald to take a 3-0 lead early in the first quarter.

Steigerwald added a 20-yard kick later in the quarter, but a 21-yard touchdown pass from LeFevour to Bryan Anderson gave the Chippewas a 7-6 lead at the end of the first quarter.

CMU pushed its lead to 10-6 with a 34-yard field goal by Andrew Aguila midway through the second stanza.

However, the Rockets regained the lead with a five-yard touchdown run by Collins.

The Chippewas struck again though, as LeFevour connected with Anderson for a 22-yard touchdown, giving CMU a 17-13 lead at the break.

Toledo dominated the third quarter, as the team used a 35-yard field goal by Steigerwald and a 35-yard touchdown pass from Opelt to Nick Moore to take a 23-17 lead going into the final frame.

The Chippewas got the last laugh, however, as Sneed plunged into the end zone from one yard out, giving Central Michigan a one point lead.

The defense for CMU did the rest, as the unit shut down the Rockets throughout the final frame.
