Pasadena, CA (Sports Network) - Kevin Craft connected with Cory Harvey for a 10-yard touchdown pass with just 10 seconds remaining in regulation to give the UCLA Bruins a thrilling 23-20 victory over the Stanford Cardinal in Pac-10 play at the Rose Bowl.
Craft finished with 285 yards and two touchdowns for UCLA (3-4, 2-2 Pac-10), while Terrence Austin led the squad with five receptions, 50 yards and one TD.
The Cardinals (4-4, 3-2) were paced by Toby Gerhart, who rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries.
The Cardinal broke a scoreless tie late in the first quarter when Gerhart found himself in the end zone after a three-yard run.
Midway through the second stanza Kai Forbath nailed a 37-yard field goal to put the Bruins on the board.
Gerhart put Stanford up 14-3 with a one-yard touchdown plunge late in the second quarter.
UCLA cut its deficit to 14-6 at the break when Forbath connected on a 19-yard field goal as time expired in the first half.
Craft connected with Austin for a two-yard touchdown pass midway through the third frame to bring the Bruins within one point.
Seconds into the final frame the Bruins took a 16-14 lead with a 28-yard field goal by Forbath.
However, the Cardinal answered back with two field goals by Aaron Zagory, as the kicker buried a 40 and 29-yard kick.
The Bruins continued to push though, as the team used an 11-play, 87-yard drive, which resulted in the winning touchdown pass from Craft to Harvey.
