NCAA Game Summary - Utah State at Colorado State

Fort Collins, CO (Sports Network) - Kerwynn Williams ran for a career-high 205 yards and a couple of touchdowns as he helped guide the Utah State Aggies to a 31-19 win over the Colorado State Rams in non-conference action at Hughes Stadium.
Williams, who was averaging just 67.0 ypg on the ground coming into the week, carried the ball 21 times for the Aggies (3-1) in their first road win of the season. Chuckie Keeton converted 23-of-30 passing for 178 yards and a score, shaking off two interceptions in the victory.
The Rams (1-3) were paced by Garrett Grayson who hit on 22-of-40 for 224 yards and two touchdowns, but he was sacked five times as the squad lost for the third time in as many outings.
USU ran out to a 17-0 lead thanks to a 26-yard TD run by Williams in the first quarter, a 20-yard field goal by Josh Thompson later in the period and a one- yard TD pass from Keeton to Matt Austin midway through the second frame to give the visitors a commanding lead at the break.
The Rams responded with a pair of field goals from Jared Roberts, measuring 28 and 31 yards in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to 17-6.
With just 42 seconds remaining in the third, Williams countered with a 58-yard TD run to push the advantage to 24-6.
In the fourth quarter Grayson notched touchdown passes to Dominique Vinson and Marquise Law of four and 29 yards, respectively, but in between USU's Joe Hill found the end zone as well on a 15-yard run, giving the Aggies a comfortable 12-point win.
Colorado State, which watched Grayson be taken down five times behind the line of scrimmage, ranked 115th in the country in sacks allowed with 4.0 per game.
