NCAA Game Summary - West Virginia at Iowa State

Ames, IA (Sports Network) - Georges Niang hit a layup with two seconds left on the clock to lift the Iowa State Cyclones to a 69-67 victory over the West Virginia Mountaineers in a Big 12 thriller at Hilton Coliseum.
Melvin Ejim had a 16-point, 13-rebound double-double for Iowa State (12-4, 2-1 Big 12) which has won six of its last seven. Korie Lucious tallied 15 points and eight assists. Will Clyburn recorded 11 points and nine rebounds and Chris Babb added in 11 points as well for the Cyclones.
Jabarie Hinds had a game-high 20 points and Eron Harris added 17 for West Virginia (8-8, 1-3) which has lost three of its last four. Kevin Noreen hauled in 10 rebounds as well.
Iowa State took a 29-26 lead at the break, despite shooting just 33.3 percent from the field, by hitting 6-of-19 shots from beyond the arc. Meanwhile West Virginia missed on all 10 of its attempts from 3-point range and shot 34.5 percent overall.
The Mountaineers hot 46.9 percent of their shots, 9-of-14 of which came from beyond the arc, including a triple from Hinds with 30 seconds remaining to knot the game at 67-67. The shot finished off the Mountaineers rally from an 18-point deficit with just over nine minutes remaining. However on the Cyclones' final possession Clyburn dished the ball to Niang under the basket leading to the game-winning bucket.
The loss came for West Virginia despite a 23-19 advantage in points off turnovers and a 41-35 edge on the boards.
