NCAA Game Summary - Charlotte at Xavier

Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - Tu Holloway poured in 24 points, as the Xavier Musketeers closed out the regular season with a 72-63 victory over Atlantic 10 foe Charlotte at the Cintas Center.
Kenny Frease tallied 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Musketeers (19-11, 10-6 A-10), who rallied back from a 14-point deficit and will be the No. 3 seed in next week's Atlantic 10 Tournament. Mark Lyons rounded out the team's double- figure scorers with 11 points, although he shot just 3-of-12 from the field.
Chris Braswell scored a game-high 28 points to go along with nine rebounds for the 49ers (13-16, 5-11). DeMario Mayfield joined him in double figures with 11 points in addition to seven boards.
Charlotte put together a 15-4 first-half run and led by as many as 14 with 2:21 to play until halftime. However, Xavier was able to cut that deficit in half and went into the locker room trailing 37-30 at intermission. Holloway scored 12 in the opening frame, including a buzzer-beating jumper to end the half.
In the second half, the Musketeers used a 12-2 run to take a 42-41 lead, their first advantage since the opening minutes of the game. It was still a one- point game with just over four minutes to play when Xavier closed out the contest with a 10-2 spurt.
Xavier committed only eight turnovers for the game and also played solid defense, limiting the 49ers to 39.3-percent shooting.
