Boulder, CO (Sports Network) - Austin Dufault and Spencer Dinwiddie both tallied 15 points as Colorado surged for a 70-57 win over California in Pac-12 Conference play at the Coors Events Center.
Nate Tomlinson added 11 points for the Buffaloes (19-9, 11-5 Pac-12) while Andre Roberson accounted for eight points, a game-high 15 rebounds and three blocked shots as the team won for the third time in the last four outings.
The Golden Bears (23-7, 13-4) were paced by Allen Crabbe who delivered a game- high 16 points, followed by Justin Cobbs and Harper Kamp with 15 and 13 points, respectively. Jorge Gutierrez added nine rebounds for the program, but he missed all seven of his field goal attempts as he finished scoreless and the team had a six-game win streak brought to an end.
Cal shot just 34.6 percent from the floor in the first half, including 2-of-7 behind the three-point line, allowing the Buffs to move out to a 32-25 lead at the break, even with Colorado converting a mere 3-of-11 on the perimeter.
The Bears connected on all nine chances at the free-throw line in the second half, but the team managed a total of only 10 made field goals in the period and that opened the door for the hosts to run away with the double-digit win.
The Buffaloes won the battle of the boards, 39-30, held the visitors to just five offensive rebounds and turned the ball over just five times on the afternoon.
