Queens, NY (Sports Network) - D'Angelo Harrison led all scorers with 23 points as St. John's defeated DePaul, 79-72, on Monday.
Amir Garrett scored 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds while Moe Harkless added a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds for St. John's (12-16, 5-10 Big East), which has won two straight on the heels of a four-game losing streak.

Crockett buried a three-pointer to spark a 9-2 run that gave DePaul a 58-57 lead. Crockett capped it with a dunk inside nine minutes.
The Red Storm battled back, however, and consecutive buckets from Harkless gave them a 65-62 lead with just under six minutes remaining.
DePaul remained close, and a steal by Worrel Clahar led to free throws for the Blue Demons. Young hit the first and missed the second, but St. John's was called for a lane violation, giving Young a third free throw which he buried to put DePaul down 74-72 with 1:20 remaining.
Harrison hit one-of-two from the line at the other end, leading to a Crockett three-point try to tie the game with 40 seconds left that was off the mark.
Harrison proceeded to knock down both of his free throws to make it a two possession game and close out DePaul.
Earlier, Harrison capped the first half scoring with a three-pointer to give St. John's a 37-35 advantage at the break.
