Final Score: Radford 64, Binghamton 59
Radford, VA (Sports Network) - Javonte Green recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds as the Radford Highlanders posted a 64-59 win over the Binghamton Bearcats as part of BracketBusters weekend at the Dedmon Center.
Also scoring in double figures for the Highlanders (6-23) as they snapped a two-game slide were Blake Smith and R.J. Price with 15 and 11 points, respectively.
The Bearcats (0-26) were paced by Ben Dickinson who tallied 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds, followed by Omar Richards with 13 points and Robert Mansell 10 as the team remained winless on the campaign.
Binghamton made a total of just nine field goals in the first half, shooting a mere 1-of-5 behind the three-point line, as Radford grabbed a 29-20 lead at the break.
In the second half the Bearcats were more accurate from the floor at 48.2 percent, but it didn't make enough of a difference as the visitors bowed by five.
Radford left the door open for the Bearcats as the host shot only 13-of-23 at the free-throw line, but Binghamton was unable to capitalize.
Binghamton remains the only winless team in Division I and with their season- ending setback against Vermont in 2010-11, the team has now dropped 27 in a row.
