NCAA Game Summary - Old Dominion at Missouri State

Springfield, MO (Sports Network) - Kent Bazemore led the way with 28 points as the Old Dominion Monarchs defeated the Missouri State Bears, 73-67, at JHQ Arena as part of the annual BracketBusters event.
For the Monarchs (18-11), Trian Iliadis finished with 14 points off the bench and Chris Cooper pulled down 10 rebounds.
Kyle Weems led the Bears (16-13) with 15 points, while Anthony Downing and Jarmar Gulley each scored 13 points and Keith Pickens chipped in 11 points.
ODU shot only 41.4 percent to begin the game, but connected on 6-of-14 from three-point range. MSU struggled to make just 34.6 percent from the field, but outscored the Monarchs 6-0 at the free-throw line, and only trailed 30-27 at intermission.
After the break both teams heated up. The Bears knocked down 55.2 percent of their shots, but could manage just 3-of-13 from beyond the arc. The Monarchs shot a scorching 65 percent in the second, including 6-of-8 from long range. After trailing by as many as 10 in the second half, MSU cut the deficit to just three, 73-70, with little over a minute to play, but ODU hit on 3-of-4 free throws in the final 24 seconds to hold on for the victory.
The Monarchs finished the game connecting on 54.5 percent (12-of-22) of their three-point attempts. MSU dominated in the paint, outscoring ODU 34-12.
