NCAA Game Summary - Saint Joseph's at George Washington

Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Halil Kanacevic registered a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds as the Saint Joseph's Hawks posted a 73-66 win over the George Washington Colonials in Atlantic 10 Conference action at the Smith Center.

Kanacevic shot just 3-of-9 from the floor but added five assists for the Hawks (18-10, 8-5 A-10) as they won their third in a row and the fifth in six tries. Langston Galloway led all scorers with 18 points off the bench, followed by Carl Jones and Daryus Quarles with 16 and 15 points, respectively.

The Colonials (9-17, 4-8) were paced by Tony Taylor with 14 points, Lasan Kromah 13 and David Pellom who tallied 12 points and 11 rebounds as the team lost for the sixth time in seven games. Before fouling out Bryan Bynes tacked on 10 points.

The Hawks defense held the hosts to a total of just eight field goals in the first half, allowing the visitors to fly out to a 37-20 lead at the break. Saint Joseph's made good on 55.2 percent from the floor through the first 20 minutes.

The second half saw the Hawks convert only 34.5 percent from the field, but the squad did knock down 13-of-19 at the free-throw line in order to secure the win.

The Hawks won the battle of the boards, 43-30.
