NCAA Game Summary - UMBC at Canisius (Saturday, February 18th) Final Score: Canisius 73, UMBC 66 Buffalo, NY (Sports Network) - Alshwan Hymes posted 23 points to lead the Canisius Golden Griffins to a 73-66 win over the UMBC Retrievers as part of the annual BracketBusters event at the Koessler Athletic Center. Harold Washington added 16 points in the win for Canisius (5-22), while Chris Manhertz finished with a double-double of 11 points and 10 boards. Chase Plummer scored a game-high 24 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to lead the way for UMBC (4-23), while Brian Neller and Ryan Cook tallied 14 and 13 points, respectively. The Retrievers were limited a meager 32.3 percent from the field during the opening frame, allowing Canisius to take a commanding 43-28 lead into the break. The Golden Griffins then hit 50.0 percent from the floor over the final 20 minutes en route to a seven-point victory.
