Princeton, NJ (Sports Network) - Douglas Davis scored 20 points to lead the Princeton Tigers past the Columbia Lions 77-66 in Ivy League play at Jadwin Gym.
Mack Darrow tallied a career-high 19 points for Princeton (14-10, 5-3 Ivy League) while Ian Hammer added 16 points. Both Darrow and Hammer grabbed eight rebounds for the Tigers, who are now riding a three-game winning streak.
For Columbia (14-11, 3-6), Brian Barbour led all scorers with 22 points. Blaise Staab chipped in 12 points and Chris Crockett put up 11 points for the Lions, who have lost three of four.
The teams took a 27-27 tie into halftime. Columbia shot 45.8 percent from the floor in the half while Princeton connected on 41.7 percent of its field goals.
With the score tied 39-39 with 13:07 left in the game, Princeton went on a 12-3 run to take a 51-42 lead inside of eight minutes remaining and cruised from there. The Tigers went 19-of-21 from the foul line in the second half to help ice the game.
Princeton's bench outscored Columbia's second unit, 29-17.
