NCAA Game Summary - Troy at Arkansas State

Jonesboro, AR (Sports Network) - Trey Finn led the way with 20 points as the Arkansas State Red Wolves picked up an 83-59 victory over the Troy Trojans in a Sun Belt Conference matchup at the Convocation Center.
Malcoln Kirkland and Ed Townsel added 14 points apiece for Arkansas State (11-17, 5-8 SBC), while Marcus Hooten chipped in 10 points and five assists. Kirkland also grabbed a game-high eight rebounds as the Red Wolves snapped a three-game losing streak.
Steven Cunningham paced the Trojans (8-16, 3-10) with 14 points. Ray Chambers netted 10 points as Troy lost for the fifth time in six outings.
Arkansas State took a 35-26 lead into the intermission after it shot 48.1 percent from the floor in the opening period. The Trojans fell behind after making 40 percent of their field goal attempts in the first half.
The Red Wolves extended their lead after the break by shooting 64.3 percent from the field including 8-of-14 from three-point range in the final 20 minutes. Troy knocked down 56 percent of its field goals, but fell behind after it shot 3-of-9 from beyond the arc in the second half.
Arkansas State did an excellent job moving the ball on offense, as it had 16 assists and only seven turnovers. Troy finished the game with nine assists to its 14 turnovers.
