NCAA Game Summary - Charlotte at Dayton

Dayton, OH (Sports Network) - A sharp-shooting Chris Johnson had 22 points and nine rebounds to pace Dayton to a 75-65 triumph over Charlotte.

Johnson made 7-of-11 shots from the field, including half of his eight three- point tries. Devin Oliver posted 14 points and Kevin Dillard 13 for the Flyers (16-9, 6-5 A-10), who have won two in a row after a four-game slide.

Chris Braswell scored 27 for the 49ers (12-12, 4-7), who also received 11 points from Jamar Briscoe. Charlotte, which struggled by going 2-of-14 from beyond the arc, had a two-game winning streak broken.

Charlotte scored the game's first six points and led the remainder of the opening half, holding a 33-30 edge at the break. The tide turned with an 11-1 run for the Flyers early in the second half. Josh Parker nailed a pair of three-pointers, including the one that capped the push for a 41-36 lead.

It was a see-saw battle later in the half with each team holding a slim lead until Dayton took control with a 12-4 flurry. Johnson finished the rally with a three-ball for a 64-57 lead with 3:36 remaining, and Dayton held on down the stretch.

Charlotte lost despite holding a 32-18 advantage in points in the paint. However, Dayton (11-of-27) made nine more threes than the 49ers.
