NCAA Game Summary - Detroit at Wright State

Dayton, OH (Sports Network) - Jason Calliste had 14 points, and Detroit used strong defense in the second half to pull away from Wright State, 71-55, at the Nutter Center.
Eli Holman added 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Doug Anderson totaled 11 points and eight boards for the Titans (16-12, 10-6 HL), who have won four straight over the Raiders. Simon Chase scored 10 for Detroit, which has won four in a row and seven of eight overall.
Julius Mays had 16 points for Wright State (12-16, 7-9), which shot a paltry 4-of-16 in the second half, this after hitting half of its 20 shots in the opening 20 minutes. The Raiders also got 11 points from Armond Battle.
Detroit was behind 33-28, but scored the final dozen of the opening period to take the lead for good. Amazingly the teams combined to make just 13 shots in the second half, with Detroit going 9-of-22.
The Titans held a 35-22 rebounding advantage and were up as many as 17 with about seven minutes remaining. They also held Wright State without a field goal for nearly the final seven minutes of the contest.
Cole Darling, who had a career-high 21 points and nine rebounds in a win against Milwaukee on Sunday, was limited to four points in this game for Wright State.
