Moscow, ID (Sports Network) - Kyle Barone tallied 14 points and 15 rebounds as the Idaho Vandals defeated the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 73-64 in Western Athletic Conference play at Cowan Spectrum.
Landon Tatum and Deremy Geiger also scored 14 points for the Vandals (15-11, 7-4 WAC), who extend their win streak to four games.
For Louisiana Tech (11-14, 3-7), Cordarius Johnson led all scorers with 21 points. Romario Souza scored 13 and Trevor Gaskins added 12 for the Bulldogs, who have lost four in a row.
Idaho State shot 48 percent from the floor in the first half and took a 33-26 lead into the break.
Louisiana Tech came out in the second half on fire, going on a 16-8 run to take a 42-41 lead with 13:38 left in the game. That would be the only advantage the Bulldogs would have in the second half however as the Vandals answered on the very next possession to retake the lead and they pulled away down the stretch.
Idaho outrebounded Louisiana Tech on the night, 35-24.
