Ogden, UT (Sports Network) - Damian Lillard scored 22 points as the Weber State Wildcats held off the Eastern Washington Eagles 84-75 in Big Sky Conference play at Dee Events Center.
Lillard, the nation's leading scorer, went just 4-of-13 from the field for Weber State (20-4, 12-1 Big Sky), but connected on all 12 of his free throws. Scott Bamforth scored 13 points, Kyle Tresnak netted 12, and Kyle Bullinger added 10 for the Wildcats, who have won four straight and 14 of their last 15.
For Eastern Washington (11-14, 5-7), Cliff Colimon tallied 20 points and nine rebounds and Parker Kelly scored 17. The Eagles have now lost three in a row.
Weber State got out to a 41-30 halftime lead behind 46.9 percent field goal shooting and six three-pointers.
Eastern Washington managed to cut its deficit to just two, 41-39, with 18:08 to play in the second half, but Weber State would never relinquish the lead.
The Wildcats outrebounded the Eagles 44-35 and outscored them 22-16 in the paint.
