Tulsa, OK (Sports Network) - Jordan Clarkson scored 21 points as the Tulsa Golden Hurricane rolled over the Houston Cougars 72-48 in Conference USA action at the Reynolds Center.
Steven Idlet added 15 points and nine rebounds for Tulsa (15-10, 8-3 C-USA) which has won four of its last five. Scottie Haralson provided 13 points, while Tim Peete added six assists.
Joseph Young and Jonathan Simmons scored 13 points each for the Cougars (11-13, 3-8) who have lost four straight and eight of their last 10. Alandise Harris added 10 points. Simmons collected five rebounds as the Cougars dropped to 0-7 on the road this season.
Tulsa led 26-22 at halftime after going 11-of-27 from the floor. Houston was 7-of-16 from the field.
The Golden Hurricane broke the game open after halftime, building a 25-point lead with 1:38 remaining. Tulsa shot 13-of-22 from the floor in the second half.
