NCAA Game Summary - DePaul at Notre Dame

South Bend, IN (Sports Network) - The duo of Jack Cooley and Jerian Grant posted 22 points apiece to lead the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to an 84-76 win over the DePaul Blue Demons in a Big East Conference bout at the Joyce Center.
Cooley pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds as well in the win for Notre Dame (17-8, 9-3 Big East), while Eric Atkins tallied 14 points.
Jeremiah Kelly scored 17 points to pace DePaul (11-13, 2-10), while Cleveland Melvin registered 16 points to go with six boards. Jamee Crockett finished with 13 points, and Brandon Young added 13 points off the bench.
The teams entered the break tied at 34-34 after a back and forth opening stanza that saw the Irish shoot at a 53.6 percent clip compared to a 45.2 percent effort from the floor by DePaul.
In the second stanza, however, the Irish connected on a blistering 66.7 percent of their attempts from the field and used a 10-0 run midway through the frame to pull away from the Blue Demons and capture an eight-point win.
The Irish also went 14-of-16 at the foul line during the contest.
