Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - Dylan Garrity scored 14 points and handed out 16 assists to push the Sacramento State Hornets to an 86-76 victory over the Montana State Bobcats in Big Sky Conference action at The Nest.
Joe Eberhard led the Hornets (9-14, 4-8 Big Sky) with 23 points and eight rebounds. Konner Veteto netted 15 points and Jordan Estrada added 14 points as Sacramento State won its fourth in a row.
Tre Johnson paced Montana State (11-12, 6-6) with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Shawn Reid tallied 16 points.
Sacramento State took a 38-29 advantage into halftime after it shot 59.1 percent from the field including 8-of-11 from beyond the arc in the first half. The Bobcats connected on 42.9 percent of their field goals in the opening period.
Although Montana State attempted a rally by converting 16-of-19 from the charity stripe after the break, the Hornets sunk 65.2 percent of their shots from the floor in the second half to maintain their lead.
Despite the loss, Montana State held a 32-28 advantage in the rebounding battle which led to 18 second chance points for the Bobcats.
