Missoula, MT (Sports Network) - Will Cherry poured in 21 points as Montana upended Idaho State 76-40 in a Big Sky Conference blowout at Dahlberg Arena.
Montana (17-6, 10-1 Big Sky) also got 14 points from Art Steward and has now won six straight games. Kareem Jamar added 13 points and ripped down eight rebounds while Derek Selvig dished out eight assists and blocked six shots.
Idaho State (8-15, 6-5) had no scorers in double figures with Kenny McGowen putting in nine to lead the Bengals who had won five of their previous six.
Montana led 32-23 at the half by netting 48.1 percent from the floor to just 25.8 percent from the Bengals.
It was in the second half that Montana dominated converting on 55.6 percent of its shots from the floor and limiting Idaho State to just six field goals and 17 total points in the final twenty minutes.
Montana dominated on the inside outrebounding the Bengals 41-27 and outscoring Idaho State 38-14 on points in the paint.
