NCAA Game Summary - Houston at Tulane

New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - Josh Davis registered a double-double with 15 points and a game-high 10 rebounds as he helped guide the Tulane Green Wave to a 75-54 win over the Houston Cougars in a Conference USA matchup at Fogelman Arena.
Davis also made four blocked shots for the Green Wave (15-8, 3-6 C-USA) as they snapped a two-game slide. Ricky Tarrant led all scorers with 21 points, while Jordan Callahan accounted for another 17 points and four assists.
The Cougars (11-11, 3-6) were paced by Joseph Young who dropped in 17 points off the bench, while TaShawn Thomas accounted for 11 points and eight boards and Jonathon Simmons 10 points as the team fell for the second time in as many games.
Tulane erupted for 58.6 percent shooting from the floor in the first half, including 4-of-8 behind the three-point line, allowing the hosts to claim a 42-30 lead at the break. Houston knocked down just 39.3 percent field and 1- of-7 on the perimeter through the first 20 minutes.
In the second half the Cougars continued to have their issues beyond the arc (0-of-5) allowing Tulane to cruise to the 21-point win.
In addition to making just 1-of-12 shots on the perimeter on the night, Houston also turned the ball over 18 times.
