(Saturday, February 4th)

Final Score: Weber State 93, Northern Colorado 81

Ogden, UT (Sports Network) - Damian Lillard erupted for a game-high 35 points as the Weber State Wildcats registered a 93-81 win over the Northern Colorado Bears in Big Sky Conference play at the Dee Events Center.

Lillard, the nation's top scorer with an average of 25.1 ppg heading into the weekend, converted 12-of-18 shots from the floor, including 5-of-9 behind the three-point line as Weber State (18-4, 10-1 Big Sky) picked up a second straight win. Also scoring in double figures for the Wildcats were Scott Bamforth with 18, Gelaun Wheelwright 11 points and Byron Fulton 10 off the bench for the hosts.

The Bears (7-15, 4-7) were paced by Tate Unruh who led five players in double figures with his 17 points, followed by Tim Huskisson with 14 as the visitors suffered their second straight loss and the fifth in the last six outings overall. Connor Osborne tacked on 12 points, Tevin Svihovec 11 and Emmanuel Addo 10 and nine boards in a reserve role for the visitors.

Lillard beat the Bears inside and out in the first half, finishing with 12 points in the period, while Bamforth produced another 11 as the Wildcats shot an impressive 60.0 percent from the floor and 7-of-12 behind the three-point line. UNC turned the ball over 11 times in the first half and the Wildcats used those miscues to register 18 points as WSU put up a 54-35 advantage at the break.

Lillard continued to pour it on in the second half, scorching the nets for another 23 points, but UNC refused to back down and even cut into the WSU lead by knocking down 57.1 percent from the floor, but it was too little, too late.

During the game Lillard, who has scored at least 30 points now seven times this season, also registered his 1,700th career point.

Weber State is perfect at home this season at 13-0 and has won 14 straight at the Dee Events Center overall dating back to last season.
