Las Vegas, NV (Sports Network) - Dylan Royer scored 18 points, shooting 5-of-7 behind the three-point line, as the Cal Poly Mustangs delivered a 72-55 win over the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils in the final round of the Las Vegas Invitational at Orleans Arena.
Also scoring in double figures for the Mustangs (4-2) were David Hanson and Drake U'u with 13 points apiece, followed by Amaurys Fermin with 12 points and eight assists.
The Delta Devils (1-5) were paced by Paul Crosby with 23 points, the only player on the squad to score in double digits.
The Delta Devils converted just eight field goals in the first half, but because five of those came from three-point range the team was still within striking distance at the break, 32-26.
In the second half Cal Poly put the game away with 60.9 percent shooting from the floor, not to mention 7-of-13 beyond the arc.
The Mustangs finished the outing by knocking down 14-of-25 shots from three- point range and 54.3 percent from the field overall.
