NCAA Game Summary - William & Mary at Liberty

Lynchburg, VA (Sports Network) - Quinn McDowell put the Tribe ahead with a three-point play and grabbed the game winning rebound in the final seconds as William & Mary topped Liberty 65-64 in the 2K Sports Classic at the Vines Center.
McDowell finished with a game-high 18 points for William & Mary (1-5) as he led the team to its first win of the season. Brandon Britt added 15 points and four assists and Marcus Thornton had 13 points in the win.
Tavares Speaks led five players in double figures for Liberty (2-4) with 13 points. David Minaya and John Caleb Sanders each chipped in 12 points. Jesse Sanders recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds and Antwan Burrus scored 10 in the loss.
The Tribe led 29-26 at half after holding the Flames to a shooting percentage of 31.8 in the first twenty minutes.
The Flames found themselves down by eight with 8:14 remaining before fighting back to take the lead with 22 seconds remaining. Liberty shot 46.9 percent in the second half while the Tribe shot just 36 percent.
