NCAA Game Summary - Oral Roberts at S-M-U

Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Papa Dia registered 17 points and 15 rebounds to lift the SMU Mustangs over the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles by a 64-57 final in overtime of a first-round Tournament thriller.

Robert Nyakundi posted 15 points for SMU (18-14), which will face Jacksonville on Saturday in the second round of this tournament.

Dominique Morrison scored 21 points in defeat for Oral Roberts (19-16). The Golden Eagles also received 13 points from Warren Niles and 10 points from Damen Bell-Holter.

Oral Roberts scored the final five points of the first half, but SMU held a 24-22 edge at intermission.

Jeremiah Samarrippas hit a jumper for the Mustangs to tie the score at 52-52 with 1:12 remaining in regulation, and neither team scored again in that second half.

Oral Roberts held a 57-54 lead in the overtime period with under two minutes remaining, but the Mustangs closed the contest on a 10-0 run to claim the win.

An 18-9 advantage in points from the foul line was key to the victory for SMU.
