NCAA Game Summary - Hampton vs Boston University (Monday, November 22nd) Final Score: Hampton 51, Boston University 50 Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Charles Funches hit two free throws with 1:01 left in regulation to give the Hampton Pirates a 51-50 win over the Boston University Terriers in an NIT Season Tip-Off consolation game at the Smith Center. Darrion Pellum scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds for the Pirates (3-1), who have now won three straight. Funches finished with 14 points and seven rebounds. John Holland scored 12 points for the Terriers (2-3), while Jake O'Brien added nine rebounds. Boston University led by five points early, but Hampton rallied to take a 30-29 halftime advantage after shooting 12-of-26 from the floor. The Pirates led by six with 15:12 left in the game, and the contest was tied twice after that. Funches hit his two foul shots to give Hampton a four-point edge. Holland converted a traditional three-point play with 46 seconds left, but the Terriers never got off another shot.
