Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Lazar Hayward had 18 points and 11 rebounds, as 21st-ranked Marquette dismantled Florida Gulf Coast, 67-37, on Senior Night at the Bradley Center.

Wesley Matthews scored 12 points and Dominic James added 11 for the Golden Eagles (22-7), who rebounded from a heartbreaking 70-68 overtime loss on Saturday to 11th-ranked Georgetown. Ousmane Barro chipped in seven points and eight boards in the win.

No player scored more than six points for Florida Gulf Coast, which finished its season with a 10-21 mark. Rob Quaintance finished with six points, five boards and four assists for the Eagles.

Marquette overwhelmed the Eagles early on, racing out to a 16-4 advantage after Hayward stroked a three with four minutes gone in the half. Florida Gulf Coast then put together a 9-3 run, capped by Roman Narmbaye's tip-in that cut the deficit to six, 19-13, with 7:54 remaining.

The Golden Eagles closed the frame on an 11-4 spurt and held a 30-17 edge at halftime.

The Eagles went on an 8-0 run to start the second half. After Quaintance and Casey Wohlleb drained threes, Adam Liddell sank a jumper to trim the deficit to five, 30-25. But that's the closet Florida Gulf Coast got, as Marquette finished the game on 37-12 spurt.

This game marked the first-ever meeting between the two schools...Marquette shot 45.8 percent (22-of-48) from the floor, while holding the Eagles to 27.7 percent (13-of-47)...Marquette outrebounded the Eagles, 33-30...Marquette closes out its regular season Saturday at Big East-rival Syracuse.
