1980: Teofilo Stevenson of Cuba (right) focuses intently on his opponent during a heavy weight bout in the 1980 Summer Olympic Games held in Moscow, USSR. Stevenson was victourious throughout his bracket as he won his third consecutive gold medal in the heavy weight division. Teofilo Stevenson equalled the Olympic record of Lazlo Papp of Hungary when he won his third heavyweight boxing title at Games of Moscow in 1980. His power and dominating skills were such that only in the semi-final of his thirdOlympic competition did any boxer manage to go the distance with him. But for the boycott of the Los Angeles Games by Cuba in 1984 he would probably have won a fourth medal, and he took his third world amateur heavyweight title in 1986. He could haveearned millions as a professional but preferred to stay in Cuba where professional boxing is not permitted. Mandatory Credit: Allsport UK/Allsport
