According to a TSN report, Montreal Canadiens defenseman Andrei Markov has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. He was injured in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinal after being hit by Pittsburgh Penguins forward Matt Cooke.
Markov has not officially been ruled out of the series or playoffs by the Canadiens.
