The San Diego Padres have traded pitcher Cory Burns to the Texas Rangers in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
Burns made his MLB debut for San Diego in 2012, going 0-1 with a 5.50 ERA over 17 relief outings.
The right-hander also went 1-2 with a 3.14 ERA and 78 strikeouts against 17 walks over 54 relief outings for Triple-A Tucson this past season.
