Stoke-on-Trent, England (Sports Network) - Stoke City has won its appeal against the red card issued to Steven Nzonzi in the team's 3-3 draw with Southampton last weekend.
Nzonzi was shown a straight red card for allegedly stomping on Southampton's Jack Cork at the Britannia Stadium.
However, Stoke boss Tony Pulis immediately lodged a claim for a wrongful dismissal with the FA.
And after investigating the incident, the FA's Independent Regulatory Commission decided to uphold the appeal, withdrawing Nzonzi's three-game ban.
